Linen Star with Sttich

More stars but made with linen, sheet music and stitch.

Snowmen Decs

Carole has been making lots of Christmas gifts for
a stall raising money for her local church.
These Snowmen just made me smile.
As you can see they are made out of felt and all
hand stitched.

Stamped Christmas Baubles

This year carrying on the theme of using music sheets.
We stamped printed six of the pattern and then glued these
together to form the 3D ornament.
A silver thread glued down the middle with
a glass beaded charm hanging from the base.
Lots of glitter glue added to not only add sparkle
but to strengthen the paper.
These were very popular and fun to make
I can honestly say hundreds made this year.

Machine Embroidered Christmas Trees

These Machine Embroidered Christmas Trees used
soluble plastic as a background to draw the tree design
on and then a layer of sheer organza in the chosen colour
behind that. Put in an Embroidery Hoop it was then
free machined. The plastic is then dissolved away
and then hung on a thread to act as a decoration.
Looks fantastic in a window.

Star Christmas Pouch

I love making gifts out of things left overs
 from other projects.
We had been using canvas and lace and so by
sewing them together and
adding a Christmas Star, tinsel, Christmas
fir ribbon cones and some glitter
a little gift bag was made.
ideal for a small present, to hang on the tree
or a fund raiser.

Christmas Cotton Reel Tassels

In the studio we have been collecting empty
cotton reel bobbins since the beginning of the ear.
Wood, plastic and a variety of colours and sizes.
It was a great time to put them into good use and
make tassels with them.
The cotton reel was decorated with music paper and
 various trimmings and beads.
Multiple threads were wound around a book and wired
into the cotton reel.
So effective!

Miniature Rossette Music Ornaments

These are so made with cones of paper in this case
old music books that we are recycling
in the studio.
Additions of lace, buttons and string.
Hundreds of them have been made and for
many different occasions.
Great to put on a gifts and then have as an
ornament.

Red and White Father Christmas Wall Hanging

I love Red and White Embroidery and this was really lovely to make.
The red embroidery is chain stitch.
Cutting the reindeer fabric so that it fitted in the borders took
a bit of working out.

Small Cone Tree Wreath Decorations

Origami has been very popular in the studio.
I have made several different sizes to demonstrate in
the studio.
These are the miniature ones that are stuck onto a
large button.
Of course they are glittered too!
